My name is Lukasz Ciolek...

but everybody in the UK tends to call me Luke Ciolek. I live in London and I'm a professional freelance...

Polish interpreter

I have all the relevant qualifications and 2000+ hours of interpreting experience. I graduated with M.A. in translation and interpreting from Institute of English Studies at the University of Lodz.

In 2017 I obtained a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) in Law from the Chartered Institute of Linguists. I achieved the best result among the 1800 candidates across all languages who took this challenging exam. For that, I was presented with the Susan Tolman Award by HRH Prince Michael of Kent at an awards ceremony at the Law Society in London.

I work most frequently as a court interpreter translating in the consecutive mode. My best and most important work include interpretation at several high profile trials at the Old Bailey, or cases heard at the Royal Courts of Justice. I have also worked for the NHS, DWP, and other public sector organisations. In addition to consecutive interpreting, I provide conference interpreting and video remote interpreting. Take a look at my interpreter services page for more details along with information about my fees.
